Summary: Simon Snow is the worst Chosen One who's ever been chosen. That's what his roommate, Baz, says. And Baz might be evil and a vampire and a complete git, but he's probably right. Carry On - The Rise and Fall of Simon Snow is a ghost story, a love story and a mystery. It has just as much kissing and talking as you'd expect from a Rainbow Rowell story - but far, far more monsters. My Review: This was my fifth (sixth?) reread of Carry On. I keep coming back to it. It’s the Harry Potter I always wanted, but still a million times better because Rowell is a kinder person than Rowling ever was and she isn’t openly a TERF on Twitter. Carry On was just as magical as I remembered. I fell in love with Simon, Baz, and Penny as they searched for answers. Ebb tore at my heartstrings. This book has always been a quick read for me because I love it so. much. The only thing I would want is more worldbuilding. I love the writing style, the POV switches, and how dynamic the characters are. This is one of my favorite books. I relate with Simon's feelings of never being good enough despite all he has and being "chosen", I relate to Baz's need to hide who he is. I relate to Penny struggling socially and pretending like it doesn't bother her. I relate to Agatha just wanting to get away and be normal. It’s a 5/5 star read in my opinion, My Favorite Lines:
